HOW BIG IS BABY? 5.6 INCHES & 56.7 OZ – ABOUT THE SIZE OF A SWEET POTATO

DEVELOPMENT: OUR BABY GIRL IS YAWNING, HICCUPING, SUCKING AND SWALLOWING! SHE IS ALSO TWISTING, ROLLING, PUNCHING AND KICKING TOO. I THINK I FEEL HER KICKING A LITTLE BIT, BUT I’M NOT SURE. SO THAT PROBABLY MEANS THAT SHE ISN’T BIG ENOUGH FOR ME TO FEEL YET.

WEIGHT GAIN: I STILL HAVEN’T GAINED ANY WEIGHT YET, BUT I FEEL LIKE NEXT WEEK I MAY GAIN A POUND OR SO!

SLEEP: WELL SLEEP HAS BEEN GETTING WORSE THIS WEEK! MY LOWER BACK IS KILLING ME, AND NOW MORE THAN EVER SINCE CORY IS OUT OF TOWN THIS WEEK, HE USUALLY SPOONS ME AND HIS WARM BOD SOOTHES MY BACK SO I HAVE NOT BEEN SLEEPING WELL. I ALSO HAD A NICE LITTLE FREAK DREAM THE OTHER NIGHT THAT I WAS A TWIN SISTER AND WE BOTH HAD LONG HAIR AND SOME CRAZY WITCH WAS COMING AFTER US TO KILL US. SO I FOUND THIS RAKE THING AND STARTED BEATING HER WITH IT TO GET AWAY FROM ME AND THEN I STABED HER IN THE STOMACH WITH IT BUT NOTHING HAPPENED. THERE WAS A LOT MORE DETAIL, BUT IT JUST GETS EVEN WEIRDER, SO I’M SURE AFTER READING THIS, YOU ALL ARE GOING TO THINK I HAVE A SERIOUS PROBLEM. BUT I PROMISE THIS VIOLENCE IS ONLY IN MY DREAMS, I CAN’T CONTROL IT!! HAHA

MISSING: HM.. NOT REALLY MISSING MUCH THIS MUCH EXCEPT MY HUBBY! 😦 HE WENT UP NORTH FOR A WEEK TO DO VOLUNTEER WORK AT A DENTAL CLINIC TO GIVE FREE DENTAL WORK TO THOSE WHO CAN’T AFFORD IT.

CRAVING: NOTHING. ONCE AGAIN, HAVING A VERY SMALL APPETITE.

FEELING: THIS WEEK HAS BEEN SO MUCH BETTER! I THINK I AM NAUSEA FREE!!

GENDER: A LITTLE GIL.

BEST MOMENT OF THE WEEK: WE WENT ICE SKATING IN AN OUTDOOR ICE SKATING RINK, BUT THE FUNNY THING ABOUT IT WAS THAT IT WAS PLASTIC INSTEAD OF ICE. ONLY IN THE SOUTH.

LOOKING FORWARD TO: THANKSGIVING NEXT WEEK!! WAHOO! I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO A NICE LITTLE BREAK WITH MY HUBBY AND BEING ABLE TO SPEND TIME WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS!

This weekend was a good weekend filled with (fake) ice skating, puppy shopping (not for us, for our friends), sick Cory, dang cold season, and a birthday party! We also have Walking Dead nights with our friends and last night my friend Kaitlyn brought Curly (our dog) a little elf hat! It was marvelous to see!

HOW BIG IS BABY? 5.1 INCHES & 5.9 OZ – ABOUT THE SIZE OF A SWEET POTATO

DEVELOPMENT: BABY RUSH’S RUBBERY CARTILAGE IS NOW TURNING INTO BONE! SHE IS FINALLY GETTING SOME MEAT ON HER BONES AND PUTTING ON SOME FAT.

WEIGHT GAIN: I ACTUALLY HAVEN’T GAINED ANY WEIGHT YET! I ASKED MY DOCTOR IF THAT WAS NORMAL AND LUCKILY HE SAID IT WAS FINE, I JUST NEED TO KEEP EATING GOOD FOODS AND TRY AND EAT MORE OFTEN. I KIND OF HAVE A PROBLEM WHEN IT COMES TO EATING ENOUGH (I DO NOT HAVE AN EATING DISORDER) I JUST KIND OF FORGET TO EAT, WHICH I KNOW IS REALLY BAD.

SLEEP: OH MY GOODNESS I HAVE BEEN SO TIRED LATELY! I FEEL EXHAUSTED ALL DAY AND I GO TO BED AROUND 8:30. I AM TURNING INTO AN OLD LADY, BUT IT JUST REMINDS ME HOW MUCH OUR LITTLE BABY GIRL IS GROWING! I HAVE (AS USUAL) BEEN HAVING MORE CRAZY DREAMS, ONE THAT I HAD THE OTHER NIGHT WAS THAT ME AND A FRIEND AND CORY BEAT UP CHANNING TATUM AND HIS “FRIEND” THEY KEPT TAKING AWAY OUR TOY WEAPONS AND SO I FOUND A KIDS BAT ON THE GRASS AND STARTED HITTING HIM ON THE HEAD AND THEN I KICKED HIM IN THE BALLS. THEN WE WENT TO JAIL AND MY FRIEND TOLD ME THAT SHE WAS PREGNANT TOO WHILE WE WERE SITTING IN THE CELL. IT WAS SO RANDOM, AND I DON’T KNOW WHY I AM SO VIOLENT IN MY SLEEP.

MISSING: BEING ABLE TO LAY ON MY STOMACH AND IF I STRETCH BACK TOO FAR IT FEELS LIKE MY STOMACH IS GOING TO BREAK… I CAN FEEL MY LIGAMENTS STRETCHING.

CRAVING: I WAS AT MY OB APPOINTMENT YESTERDAY AND MY DR STARTED TALKING ABOUT SUSHI WHICH MADE MY MOUTH WATER AND NOW I HAVEN’T STOPPED THINKING ABOUT IT. I MISS MY RAW FISH, ESPECIALLY HERE IN CHARLESTON WHEN IT IS SO FRESH!

FEELING: YAY!! I’M GETTING BETTER! I STILL GET SICK SOMETIMES BUT IT’S NOWHERE NEAR WHAT IT WAS BEFORE, SO I AM VERY HAPPY ABOUT THAT!

GENDER: IT’S A GIRL!!!!! YIPPEE! I KNEW IT WAS A GIRL, I JUST KNEW IT. WE COULDN’T BE MORE EXCITED!

BEST MOMENT OF THE WEEK: FINDING OUT THE GENDER OF OUR BABY OF COURSE!

LOOKING FORWARD TO: THANKSGIVING CRAFTS! WHAT I’M NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO IS CORY BEING GONE ALL NEXT WEEK FOR A DENTAL VOLUNTEER CLINIC UP IN GREENVILLE 😦 BUT LUCKILY I HAVE FRIENDS AND FAMILY NEAR BY.

It was yet again another eventful week! As mentioned above, we found out the gender of our baby on Saturday and it was a girl! Immediately after the appointment we went and bought baby Rush a couple of outfits and gave each other lots of hugs and kisses celebrating our sweet baby. it was so great to see her wiggle around in the ultrasound (we got a 3D one) and she was so big compared to the last time we saw her. It was such a beautiful and surreal time to be reminded that there is a human inside of me growing and wiggling around. I can’t wait to meet her! The ultrasound technician kept saying that she was bald as a chicken and that she hasn’t grown her feathers in yet. She also said that she has her dads face and nose… I don’t really know how she was able to determine that through a 3D ultrasound, so I will just say it’s a 50 50 chance that she has his face and nose. 😉

On Friday, (the day before we found out the gender) we drove up to Greenville to take our Christmas pictures with the amazing Angela Cox, our photographer. She did such a good job and I think she got some good shots. She sent a sneak peek pic the next day so I’ll post it below. After our pictures we drove downtown Greenville and walked around the shops and had dinner, it was a very enjoyable evening and it was great to spend some one on one time with the hubby all day. 🙂 We didn’t end up getting back home until 11:30 that night and then the next morning I got up at 7:30 to take my friend Kaitlyn out to breakfast for her birthday, and afterwards we were off to our gender reveal with shopping following after and then lunch with my friend Morgan and her husband Britton who was visiting from New York for the day. We finally got home and relaxed for a few hours and were off again for Kaitlyn’s birthday dinner, it was an all around good time!

Sunday was the day we held a little last minute gender reveal party with our close friends and my brother & sis in law (who is also prego with a girl!! Due 3 weeks ahead of me) I will post some pictures below, but we just made some boston cream cupcakes and dyed the filling in the middle pink. I made little ballots for them to vote if they thought it was a girl or a boy and EVERYBODY voted that it was a boy! So they all had a great surprise!

I am going to apologize in advance for the picture overload, but there were a lot taken this weekend!

HOW BIG IS BABY? 4.6 INCHES & 3.5 OZ – ABOUT THE SIZE OF AN AVOCADO

DEVELOPMENT: BABY’S TINY BONES ARE FORMING IN ITS EARS SO BABY CAN NOW HEAR MY VOICE! HIS/HER EYEBROWS, LASHES AND HAIR ARE STARTING TO FILL IN, AND TASTE BUDS ARE FORMING.

SLEEP: SLEEP HAS BEEN PRETTY GOOD. I HAVE BEEN A LOT MORE SLEEPY LATELY AND GOING TO BED SUPER EARLY, MY DREAMS HAVE BEEN PRETTY CRAZY, AS USUAL.

MISSING: NOTHING REALLY THIS WEEK.:)

CRAVING: I HAD THE MOST RANDOM CRAVING FOR MAC & CHEESE ON SUNDAY, BUT WE DIDN’T HAVE ANY IN THE HOUSE SO I MADE CORY RUN NEXT DOOR TO THE LITTLE CONVENIENT STORE AND GET ME SOME. AFTER I COOKED SOME UP I SCARFED IT DOWN AND THE BABY DID NOT LIKE IT ONE BIT! I DON’T USUALLY EAT PROCESSED FOODS OR THINGS THAT ARE SUPER UNHEALTHY SO IT MADE ME FEEL REALLY SICK AFTERWARDS… NOW MAC & CHEESE IS NO LONGER A CRAVING.

FEELING: I’VE BEEN FEELING MUCH BETTER! I STILL GET SICK A LITTLE BIT IN THE MORNING AND RANDOMLY THROUGH OUT THE DAY BUT IT IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN LAST WEEK.

GENDER: SATURDAY IS THE DAY!!! WAHOOO, STAY TUNED FOR NEXT TUESDAY WHEN I WILL ANNOUNCE THE GENDER!

BEST MOMENT OF THE WEEK: WE WENT TO ANOTHER HALLOWEEN PARTY ON ACTUAL HALLOWEEN AND IT WAS A LOT OF FUN!

LOOKING FORWARD TO: OF COURSE THE GENDER REVEAL! WE ARE ALSO TAKING OUR CHRISTMAS PICTURES TOMORROW SO I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO THAT TOO.

This past weekend has been an eventful one! Thursday was Halloween and we went to our friends, Thayne and Kiama’s house for a little costume partay. Cory and I decided to do another last minute costume of Wonder Woman and Captain America. We had a lot of fun playing halloween games, having a donut eating contest and enjoying each others company. Friday was our ward campout! We were all so excited to finally go camping, but the bad news was that it was supposed to rain that night. Luckily it didn’t end up raining until around 10:45 that night. So we had a campfire, hobo dinners and apple crisp! Once it started raining we all retired to our tents and basically yelled back and forth to each other in conversation for a bit until we all finally fell asleep. Around 3am Cory woke me up soaking wet! He was literally sleeping in a puddle of rain, and his clothes were sopping wet so we decided to pack up our tent really fast in the middle of the pouring rain and drive back home. (Luckily it was only about a 20 minute drive) When we got home we changed our wet clothes and jumped in bed! I was never so grateful for a bed and a roof over my head as I was that night during that crazy rain. It made me think of the pioneers traveling across the plains, not having the option to get up and go back home when their tent floods. Instead they had to get up in cold weather and walk all day with wet clothes. It really kicked off my gratitude month (November) with a lot to be thankful for.

photo 2 (2)This was the only picture we took on our camping trip at 4 in the morning as we were running back to our car. I am sad we didn’t get a picture with the whole group, but we will have to do a redo on the whole camping thing, but this time we will plan around the rain. I know I’m looking real rough here but I just had to show you the madness going on.
